ORA-1499 table/Index Cross Reference Failure - see trace file

Cross reference error between the table data and index data – this error will occur during an analyze with cascade. The error occurs when there is possibly corrupt data in the table or index. The first action is to rebuild the index.

“Analyze table validate structure cascade”

Check trace file is generated – look for row not found error

Mark which row number is failing

Get a dump of the index block – set event 10200 level 1 and run the failing select. – trace will have rdba for index block number

Find the data in index and check flags
